Philippine Crocodile Project

The Philippine Crocodile Crocodylus mindorensis, a species endemic to the Philippines, is considered to be the most endangered crocodilian species in the world. Previously found throughout the archipelago, the species currently occurs only in northern Luzon, central Mindanao and the small island of Dalupiri in the Babuyan Islands in northern Philippines, where a small population has been found in 2005.

The goal of Crocodile Project – Dalupiri is to initiate an in situ conservation program for the critically-endangered Philippine Crocodile on Dalupiri Island. The project is being carried out in collaboration with Mabuwaya Foundation, Inc.
