Croc Report Now Available
July 2006

The Crocodile project has just published a report detailing their crocodile surveys in May and August 2005. The report, entitled “Crocodile surveys on Dalupiri and Fuga,” notes the potential for in situ conservation of the Philippine Crocodile on Dalupiri Island with the presence of suitable habitat, the presence of breeding crocodiles and positive community attitudes. The local population however remains extremely small with only one adult, one juvenile and one hatchling counted in May 2005.

A Pdf copy of the report is available at the Crocodile Specialist Group (link) website and ISLA’s Reports and Publications (link) page.Environmental education seminars and conservation action plan validation held in 7 barangays.
